Sweet Ritual is a real gem in Austin and I'd recommend it to both locals and visitors. Those visiting for the first time should note that they are currently inside The Daily Juice location at 4500 Duval (corner of Duval and 45th St.). You can pick up a raw treat as well if you're interested.
I absolutely adore the menu as it's full of wonderful options. On my first visit, I think I spent a good 10 minutes drooling over the menu before I made up my mind. So far, I've tried the cookie dough and turtle sundaes. The woman behind the counter was even kind enough to recommend some coconut flakes to make our turtle even tastier.
I've loved soft serve since I was a kid and until now, I wasn't even aware anyone had made a vegan version. I love how Sweet Ritual serves their own original recipe that includes soy milk, coconut milk, and sugar. The toppings are all safe for vegans as well, from the cookie dough to the gummy worms.
The only disadvantage is that they operate in a very small place. So tell your friends! Bring your friends! And grab a treat to share. Also, be sure to support Sweet Ritual in their quest for additional funding so they can expand into their own shop.
If you're ever in Austin, I highly recommend enjoying a treat at Sweet Ritual.

UPDATE: Owner Amelia wished to share: "We have a rotating cast of flavors that we change every Wednesday. These range from Earl Gray, Bananas Foster, Salted Caramel (customer favorite!) and good ol' Chocolate. As you saw, we operate out of a 10x6 foot space, with hopes to expand into our own brick and mortar in the next year." Hooray!
UPDATE 2: Sweet Ritual is now serving hard-packed vegan ice cream! It is absolutely delicious and added some great variety.
