Review: Korres Lip Butter Glaze

When it comes to lip gloss, I'm picky. Glosses should be shiny but not sticky, long-lasting but not drying. I am always happy to see when natural product companies get the texture just right. One example is Korres Lip Butter Glaze.

Pros:
  • Rich colors
  • Yummy sugar cookie
  • Lasts for several hours
  • Doesn't get sticky
  • Smooth, glossy texture
Cons:
  • Can be hard to apply evenly using the tube
Summary:
I tested out the Lip Butter Glaze in raspberry. The color was rich and lovely, yet it could be softened by using a smaller amount. It performed well and lasted longer than most glosses. At $14, it is priced in the mid-range and may be available locally in some Sephora stores. The main disadvantage is that I found it was a bit difficult to apply evenly straight out of the tube. However, this is a fairly simple fix using a finger or lip brush. If I were to improve this product, I would recommend removing ingredients such as beeswax to make this suitable for vegans. Otherwise, it is fairly gentle, rating around a 2 on the EWG Skin Deep database. If you're looking for a natural lip gloss, this glaze is definitely a quality option that is much safer than conventional alternatives.
