Review: NVEY ECO Organic Moisturizing Fluid Foundation

I first discovered NVEY Eco through Sephora when I was looking for a cream concealer. While Sephora no longer carries the line, NVEY has quite a range of products available online, including an Organic Moisturizing Fluid Foundation.

Pros:
  • Long-lasting
  • Contains organic ingredients
  • More coverage than a tinted moisturizer
  • Creamy consistency
  • Convenient pump bottle
Cons:
  • Dries a little too quickly
Summary:
This foundation is a long-lasting formula with light coverage. It tends to dry quickly, so I recommend either working in small sections or applying quickly. I recommend setting with a powder. It removes easily with soap and water. NVEY presents the product well, with a stylish website that even includes a tutorial video. The price is moderate to high, and the color range is average. I was sent a color that was several shades different than my skin tone, but others have commented that the range tends to run a little warm in undertones. This foundation rates a moderate 4 on the EWG Skin Deep database, mainly due to the use of benzyl alcohol as a preservative. I would love to see this foundation reformulated to be more gentle and vegan as well (it currently contains beeswax). If you're looking for a light, long-lasting foundation for warmer toned skin, this could be a good option.
