Ask Kaylin: Beginning Makeup Brush Set

Eco Tools Day to Night set
While speaking with a relative recently, I was asked about makeup brushes that I would recommend for a high school student. If you're looking to update your collection or give a gift to a makeup lover, read on for her question and my response.

Sarah:
My daughter loves makeup and getting dressed up.  She has asked me for a makeup brush set and I don't know where to start.  Do you have any recommendations?
Kaylin:
EcoTools is a great brand, as they are affordable and widely available.  The quality is fantastic for the price and they offer a wide range of styles.  They are also eco-friendly and cruelty-free.

There are two sets that I would recommend for a beginner. Either of these sets would be a good start, or you could get both for a more complete collection. The EcoTools brand is great because they also sell many quality individual brushes as well so you can customize your collection to meet your needs in the future. You may be able to find these sets at stores such as Ulta or Target, or you can order them online online. Here are the two sets I'd recommend:
  • A five-piece brush set that includes essentials such as a blush brush, a concealer brush, and a lash/brow groomer. Click here for the link.
  • This set will round out the collection from above or would be great if your daughter is looking for eye shadow brushes. Click here for the link.
For those looking to mail order, many EcoTools products are also available on Amazon.com.
