Review: Afterglow Cosmetics Kabuki Brush with Purse

As a makeup artist, I am very particular about certain brushes. One such brush is a powder brush. I use powder brushes for powder foundations, finishing powder, blush, and sometimes even bronzer. A good brush must have the right density, thickness, and softness. It also needs to be vegan. One brush that meets all these criteria is Afterglow Cosmetics' Kabuki Brush with Purse.

Pros:
  • Vegan bristles
  • Great density
  • Washes up well
  • Very soft
  • Comes with a travel case
  • Lifetime guarantee
Cons:
  • A bit of an investment
Summary:
This brush feels so soft on my face when applying powders. It holds up well when washed, and has dense brushes that pick up a lot of powder. This is especially important when I'm on the job and have to apply makeup in a hurry. At $35, this brush is a bit of an investment, but it comes with one very big bonus: a lifetime guarantee. I have never seen a guarantee like this, and it makes the investment a better value. The bristles can fall out as a brush ages; however, I still recommend proper brush care regardless to maximize the life of any brush. This brush also comes in a convenient travel case, which easily fits inside a cosmetic bag to avoid getting powder all over other products. If you're looking for a quality kabuki brush and love the idea of a guarantee, this is a great option.
