Review: Josie Maran Organic Argan Oil Moisturizer

If you're tired of having lotions, potions, creams, gels, and everything in between, it might be time to simplify. Fortunately, there are a products on the market that are designed to serve multiple needs, from treating split ends to moisturizing your face and body. One example is argan oil, which Josie Maran sells as an organic moisturizer.

Pros:
  • Very gentle
  • A little goes a long way
  • 100% organic
  • Multi-tasking product
  • Available in multiple sizes
Cons:
  • A bit of an investment
Summary:
I love how this one product can be used on your hair, face, hands, elbows, etc. The "to go" 15 mL size comes with an eyedropper that makes applying just a tiny amount of oil very easy. Unlike other oils, argan oil seemed to be absorbed quickly, especially when applied in small amounts. While the packaging states that it is light enough to be worn under makeup, I would recommend at least blotting with a tissue after a couple of minutes if you plan to apply other liquid layers (such as primer and/or liquid makeup); under powders alone this is probably fine. I love how the bottle contains 100% organic argan oil with no other added ingredients, earning it the lowest rating, 0, on the EWG Skin Deep database. If you're looking for a multi-tasking product that travels well and is very pure, this organic argan oil is a nice option.
