Review: Beauty Without Cruelty Ultimate Natural Liquid Foundation

Fair shade
One of my favorite types of foundation is liquid. They tend to last longer than powders and have a more natural look than creams, while still layering well with other products, such as primers and cream blushes. Beauty Without Cruelty makes a line of liquid foundations that provide light, natural-looking coverage.

Pros:
  • Lightweight formula
  • Blends well
  • Easy pump applicator
  • Creamy texture
  • Moisturizing
  • Gentle ingredients
Cons:
  • Limited color range in darker tones
Beige Shade
Summary:
This foundation has more coverage than a tinted moisturizer but still feels light. If you are looking for more coverage in certain areas, you can layer with a concealer. The formula is fairly gentle, rating a moderately low 3 on the EWG Skin Deep database. There are six shades available, with more in the light range. The images on the website and my two samples suggest they are balanced toward the neutral end of each shade. The price is reasonable, coming in lower than competitive products, especially if you can find it at a retail location. I also like the fun design on the bottles, and the pump applicator that makes for a sanitary application. If you're looking for a vegan liquid foundation at a reasonable price and do well with lighter, more neutral shades, this line is a good option.
