Review: Giovanni Soothing Unscented Facial Cleansing Towelettes

Sometimes it can be inconvenient to wash your face the traditional way. Whether you're at the gym, running errands on a hot day, or traveling, facial cleansing towelettes can be a convenient way to refresh. I tested out Giovanni's Soothing Unscented Facial Cleansing Towelettes on a recent trip to Hawaii.

Pros:
  • Gentle ingredients (some organic)
  • Cleaned and removed eye makeup
  • Convenient to use
  • Retail availability
  • Unscented formula
Cons:
  • May need to use moisturizer after
Summary:
The towelette was soft and easy to use. I got a lot of use from one towelette; I used it to remove sunscreen from my arms as well. While this product is fragrance-free, I found it still had a light, pleasant scent to it. It is quite gentle, rating a low 2 on the EWG Skin Deep database. It cleansed quite well and removed eye makeup easily. However, you may want to use a gentle moisturizer afterward. As a makeup artist, I'd also like to see an individually-wrapped version for occasional use (the image above is a sample size not available for purchase). If you're looking for a gentle way to cleanse your face on the go, these wipes are a convenient solution.
